Wires down just north of Peterborough. Delays up to 3 hours and counting.

I'm stuck on a southbound EC train just north of Peterborough. After several hours now they still have no idea what is going on. Half an hour ago we made an attempt to head backwards to Grantham but that seems to have been aborted. There is no catering available and I was starving before boarding the train at Doncaster as all cafes were shut, so I am having a very bad day!

You will likely receive compensation for the entire trip, if it makes
you feel any better.

They keep telling us this, but my ticket was only £10. We're now stuckat Grantham and won't get to London before at least 02.30. Surely I'm owedmore than £10 for ruining my weekend? For running a service advertised with catering, with no catering, and that was before everything went wrong?

Quite possibly you are due more than £10. Perhaps somebody else here
knows a bit more than I?

Some trains are showing on realtimetrains as not having reached their destinations until between 3am. and 4am.

Do we know the cause of the damage? It probably counts as force majeure.
Any sign of bustitution?

Where is the evidence that the train company was responsible for
ruining yout whole trip and not some other person or other reason?
