I happen to like "Gotham", but trying to keep up with it typifies the
contempt in which TV companies hold the viewer.

The first series started on Channel 5, with a good preview announcement
in the Radio Times. The second series followed, also on Channel 5, with
a somewhat smaller announcement in the RT. I waited in vain for the
third series, only to find that Netflix had bought it! By chance I found
that the fourth series was on E4, as I don't often check what's coming
on the "minor" channels since most of their programmes are repeats, and
I'd have been looking mainly at Channel 5 to see if that was intending
to show it.

I'd heard there was a fifth series being made, but saw no mention of it
until a couple of months ago, when I found that it was already being
shown on E4. For some reason I couldn't register with All 4, so missed
the first four episodes.

If all that messing around wasn't enough, as far as I remember the first
and second series were all over the schedules, with the starting times
varying over the weeks.

And Fox have now pulled it anyway.

Ditto (almost - my Sky box picked up Season 4 and I had kept Season 4
almost unwatched. Luckily, I was able to get a copy of S3 (I didn't ask
questions) and can now make a start on it, with Seasons 4 and 5 kept
recorded in reserve.
